Good news! Fennec, Firefox’s mobile browser for Android, seems to be coming along quite nicely. You will be happy to learn that the new pre-alpha build of Fennec now has multi-touch! That’s right, you can now pinch to zoom as much as you want. I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait for this [...]

The word hitting the net waves is that the mobile version of Mozilla’s Firefox browser may become available to the Android platform sometime in February according to a German website reports an article over on android spin.

According to the article most of the work on Firefox for Android has been completed although currently browsing the web via Firefox for Android isn’t possible.

So if you are a fan of Firefox and want it on your Android smartphone it is looking that just maybe you won’t have too long to wait, and as there are quite a few Firefox faithful’s out there in mobile land it will probably do well.

At least the addition of Firefox for Android would give the user another browsing option, not to say that the native Android browser isn’t just as good, but the more choices the better.
