Motorola Updates Android 2.1 Timeline, Very Little Change
Posted on June 2nd, 2010 No commentsMotorola’s Owners’ Forum has posted a revised timeline for their Android-based handsets waiting for the coveted Android 2.1 update. Not much has changed since the last time we checked in. In fact, the droid and Milestone are the only phones that differ – the droid is all done with getting 2.1 while the Milestone (Canada) is in the midst of a rollout. Everything else is still on pace for previously announced timelines. We spoke with a member of the MOTODEV team at Google I/O and reminded them that the Q2 window is drawing ever closer to and end. We we assured that the Cliq and Cliq XT were still going to come in on time.

Motorola deploys Search Engine Bing on Android phones in China

AT&T is to offer the 1st Android phone Motorola Backflip

The Motorola Backflip will be added next month to the variety of phones AT&T sells online and in its stores. Android Phone: Motorola Cliq XT Lands on T-Mobile

At the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, Motorola revealed its eighth Android phone, the Motorola Cliq XT (as it will be known stateside) or Quench (its name everywhere else). The Cliq XT will land on T-Mobile next month. Pricing hasn’t been confirmed.

Motorola Launches Android Phone ‘Quench’ At MWC 2010

Handset maker Motorola announced at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, the release of Quench, its latest handset powered by Google’s Android open-source operating system.
The touch-screen smartphone, which offers capabilities such as pinch and zoom and a touch pad, also features Motoblur, Motorola’s Android-powered content delivery service, which organizes messages and synchronizes contacts. The handset also includes Adobe Flash Lite support. It will be available in the first quarter of 2010 in the United States, the company said, where it will be known as the Cliq XT and offered through T-Mobile USA.

Motorola DROID is coming with Android 2.1

Motorola dynamically adapts to its users With Motoblur services suite
Posted on February 2nd, 2010 3 commentsMotoblur is an applications and services suite that is developed by Motorola in-house. Notably absent on the popular Droid smartphone, Motoblur comes pre-loaded on the Cliq, Backflip and several other coming smartphones.
Though it initially appears as such, Motoblur isn’t just a skin to the existing Google Android platform — it’s a separate service that requires you to sign up for an account with a unique username and password.
